National pharmacare program would reduce hospital waiting lists: McGuinty

TORONTO (CP) - A national pharmacare program funded by the federal government would indirectly result in shorter waiting lists, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty said Monday. "That (a federal funded program) would free up the provinces to devote themselves more fully to reducing wait times," McGuinty told reporters after a speech to a meeting of the Canadian Medical Association, a group representing the country's physicians.
